Dolphins Plus is proud to announce that a video submission detailing a recent scientific publication by staff members Dr. Holli Eskelinen, Kelley Winship, and University of Southern Mississippi’s Dr. Stan Kuczaj has been selected as a finalist for the Ocean 180 contest! Over 30,000 middle school students from around the world will be voting on the 9 finalist videos, with a winner being selected at the end of February.

This three-minute video details the recent publication "Can bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) cooperate to solve a novel task?" in the scientific journal Animal Cognition (18: pp. 543-550). This study was the first to successfully test cooperative problem solving abilities in bottlenose dolphins.

Dolphins Plus is excited to share the knowledge gained from our Research Department with students across the globe, and we hope that you will also enjoy learning more about dolphin cooperation by watching and sharing this video!
