Movie, "The Cove", Misleads Viewers

Posted on: January 25, 2011

In a commendable attempt to bring the public's attention to the heart wrenching atrocities committed against marine mamals each year, the film makers counted some friends as enemies. The film accuses dolphin interaction programs of benefiting from the yearly slaughter of innocent dolphins in Japan. This could not be further from the truth. People protect what they know and love. Here at Dolphins Plus, we pride ourselves on the education, interaction and conservation efforts of our programs.

The Cove has many important messages. Sadly, much of the information about dolphin interaction programs is misleading, false and damaging.
