Dolphins Plus Bayside’s mission is to advance marine mammal conservation through innovative scientific research, immersive education, and meaningful human-animal interactions. By fostering connections between people and marine life, we inspire a deeper understanding of ocean ecosystems and empower individuals to become lifelong stewards of our blue planet.

What It’s Like to Work at Dolphins Plus Work Where Others Vacation

We’re a family-owned facility in Key Largo that values collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and most of all, conservation. We focus on small group experiences and genuine connection, both with our guests and our team.

You’ll work alongside passionate professionals; marine biologists, trainers, educators, and guest service experts who love what they do and want to make a difference. Expect hands-on days, lots of learning, and plenty of dolphin squeaks.

Guest Services & Gift Shop Specialist (Part Time)

Join our team and help create unforgettable guest experiences while supporting our mission to Inspire, Educate & Conserve.

Dolphins Plus Bayside is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized full time team member to join our Guest Services team.

What You'll Do

Guest check-in and reservations
Gift shop sales and customer service
Answering phones and assisting guests
Inventory management and stocking merchandise
Maintaining a clean and organized retail space

Who We're Looking For

Have excellent customer service skills
Dependable and organized
Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Have basic computer and cash handling experience
Available on weekends and holidays

What should I expect when applying for jobs in the marine mammal industry in general?

It’s competitive, hands-on, and passionate. Most roles require a background in marine science, animal care, or education. Internships are often a stepping stone. Be ready for early mornings, physical work, and lots of learning.

Can I apply if I’m not local to Florida?

What we do is very hands on which requires team members to be on-premises.

Do I need prior experience to apply?

We provide on the job training for the right candidate. If you’re eager to learn and have a great attitude, we want to hear from you.

Is this a seasonal job?
