What It’s Like to Work at Dolphins Plus Work Where Others Vacation

We’re a family-owned facility in Key Largo that values collaboration, curiosity, compassion, and most of all, conservation. We focus on small group experiences and genuine connection, both with our guests and our team.

You’ll work alongside passionate professionals; marine biologists, trainers, educators, and guest service experts who love what they do and want to make a difference. Expect hands-on days, lots of learning, and plenty of dolphin squeaks.

What can I expect from the hiring process at Dolphins Plus?

We keep it thoughtful and personal. Typically, you'll go through:

What should I expect when applying for jobs in the marine mammal industry in general?

It’s competitive, hands-on, and passionate. Most roles require a background in marine science, animal care, or education. Internships are often a stepping stone. Be ready for early mornings, physical work, and lots of learning.

Can I apply if I’m not local to Florida?

What we do is very hands on which requires team members to be on-premises.

Do I need prior experience to apply?

We provide on the job training for the right candidate. If you’re eager to learn and have a great attitude, we want to hear from you.
